We would like to take this opportunity to thank Alberto Polojac who resigned in December 2017 from his role as a Director and his post as Chair to the Sustainability Advisory Council. Similarly, we wish to show our gratitude to Guy Burdett who resigned in January 2018 from his roles as a Director and Treasurer. Both Alberto and Guy made a valuable contribution to the formation and hard work of the association in its first year following unification and will be greatly missed.
In accordance with the SCA bylaws in section 7.6.6, following the resignation of Alberto and Guy, the Nominations Committee of the SCA Board of Directors identified potential candidates to fill the vacant positions. The Board of Directors were presented with a variety of supporting documentation and information on each of the nominees and a vote was taken by all remaining Directors to elect Mary Tellie and Inyoung Anna Kim to the two roles. Anna will serve the remainder of Alberto’s term to December 31, 2018 while Mary will serve the remainder of Guy’s term, also to December 31, 2018, and will also assume Guy’s position as Treasurer for this period.
Congratulations to Anna and Mary on your appointments and welcome to the Board. Learn more about them below.
